SIU clears Brantford Police in arrest of a knife-wielding man

The province’s Special Investigations Unit has cleared a Brantford Police officer of any wrongdoing in the arrest of a man. Officers responded to the Pioneer Gas station at Wayne Gretzky Parkway and Henry Street at about 7 a.m. on July 1 after receiving a call about a man with a knife who was threatening customers near the gas pumps, said the report from the SIU.
