Take Back the Night educating the public on sexual violence

It has been several decades since women started to band together to combat blatant sexual harassment and even violation. So far, little has been done, thus the mood of disappointment at the annual Take Back the Night March in Belleville Thursday evening. Around 60 participants carrying placards stood in a circle for a brief opening ceremony, which included an Indigenous blessing and thanks prayer in Mohawk, and speeches by representatives from various support groups about the history and value o
