Prince Edward County firefighters put down house fire

A Picton family escaped safely from their burning home early Sunday morning. There were no injuries. Around 12:45 a.m., Prince Edward County Fire and Rescue responded to the structure fire on Cumberland Street in Picton. “A family residing at the property was alerted to the fire, safely evacuated the home, and called 911,” said authorities.
