Mayor Ellis presents inaugural Heart of the Community Award 

A new civic award has been created by Mayor Neil Ellis to recognize outstanding community work by those who make a difference in Belleville. The inaugural Mayor’s Heart of the Community Award was presented personally by Ellis at the Belleville Chamber of Commerce President’s Dinner late last week to outgoing president Chris Auger, as reported earlier by The Intelligencer. Ellis said in an interview the award’s frame was crafted from wood hewn from leftover large beams used in t
