Hastings-Quinte paramedic staffing improving, but more needed: chief

The first of 20 new Hastings-Quinte paramedics will soon be on duty, with more hiring needed to meet demand and keep pace with the service’s expansion. As reported previously, the service has hired 10 new full-time paramedics and 10-part-time ones. Chief Carl Bowker said they “will provide much-needed reinforcements” ahead of the busy summer months. “Staffing continues to be a little bit of a concern, particularly as the summer months approach,” he said in Wednesday
