Man sought in connection with massive Desjardins data breach is arrested in Spain

The Sûreté du Québec said Tuesday that Juan Pablo Serrano, one of Quebec’s most wanted fugitives who has been sought since June 2024 in connection with a major data breach at Desjardins, was arrested in Spain by local authorities. Serrano was arrested Nov. 7 during a joint operation conducted by the SQ, Spanish authorities and Interpol.
