Windsor police search for teen after Amherstburg youth robbed at knifepoint

The Windsor Police Service has arrested a 16-year-old suspect and are searching for a second person following a knife-point robbery in Amherstburg. Police said a 12-year-old child was approached by two suspects shortly after 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of Sandwich Street South. The suspects allegedly brandished a knife and demanded money, according to authorities. Investigators said the pair forcefully removed the complainant’s backpack and money before fleeing the area.
