Airdrie council accelerates build out for Southwest Rec Centre, full facility projected to be open in 2030

Airdrie City Council has decided to accelerate full build out on the new Southwest Recreation Centre, approving a new approach at their council meeting on July 7.Originally, the facility was being planned as a three-phase build out, with the aquatics and fitness opening in 2030, the arenas opening in 2032 and the fieldhouse and gymnasium opening in 2034.
