UPDATE: Evacuated residents at Quilpituk Creek wildfire should prepare to head home

UPDATE 11:42 a.m.
While all evacuation orders and alerts remain in place at this time, residents should be preparing themselves for re-entry, said the Central Okanagan Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) in a Wednesday morning (Aug. 12) update.
“BC Wildfire is making progress on containment of the wildfire and safety assessments are ready to deploy,” said the EOC. “The re-entry plan may be in phases as assessments are conducted to support a safe and coordinated return home.&rdquo
