Eby suspends planned B.C. PST expansion, pledges future ferries to be built locally

Premier David Eby used his annual speech at the Union of B.C. Municipalities convention to announce that his government plans to put off a planned expansion of the provincial sales tax and instruct BC Ferries to build future vessels within the province.
PST taxes were to be added to services such as engineering and accounting. These changes were deeply unpopular in the business community.
