BC Coroners Service launches inquiry into Abbotsford inmate death

Nearly five years after the death of an inmate at Pacific Institution, the provincial government is now launching an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding this incident.
Kendal Lee Campeau, 31, was three years into his seven-year sentence when he died from a methadone overdose on Nov. 14, 2021.
Although originally from Saskatchewan, Campeau had been transferred to the Abbotsford institution after being assaulted in a different prison in 2019.
It was while in custody at the Pacific Instituti
