Ainslie Creek fire moving towards Highways 5 and 8 as more orders, alerts issued

More evacuation orders and alerts have been issued in response to the Ainslie Creek wildfire, which is burning towards Highway 8 at on its northeast flank and towards Highway 5 (Coquihalla) on its southeast flank.
On Monday (Aug. 10), the Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) placed 118 properties in Electoral Area “N” on evacuation alert. The affected properties are south of Comstock Road, south of Brookmere, and north of Juliet Drive on the fire’s southeast flank, and the
