Abbotsford market raises $3,200 to help Egyptian students get education

The Abbotsford community is lending a big helping hand to Egyptian students and families after raising thousands of dollars at a recent marketplace fundraiser.
Salsabeel Charity hosted the Aug. 29 event at OPEX Abbotsford, with many people turning up to support the group’s efforts, said the charity co-founder, Eiad El Fateh.
“The bazaar was a big success,” said Fateh. “We were able to raise more than $3,000 in our campaign.”
