Bernie Sanders is running for reelection to the U.S. Senate

Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., is running for reelection.The 82-year-old progressive firebrand announced Monday that he will seek a fourth six-year term in the U.S. Senate this November. Sanders, an independent who caucuses with the Democratic majority, was first elected to the post in 2006 and has served in Congress for more than three decades.
