FirstEnergy no 'victim,' charged former executives claim

COLUMBUS — FirstEnergy Corp. is no victim, its former executives argue in a case in which they are accused of conspiring against the state of Ohio and their former employer in a bribery scheme involving the state's former top utilities regulator.
