106 teachers 'declared surplus' by Waterloo region's public board, union says

The Elementary Teachers' Federaton of Ontario says 106 teachers were given layoff notices on Thursday after being "declared surplus." The union says it's because the Ministry of Education has not yet released its education funding for the 2024-25 school year.
